I've changed my DNS but my website still isn't showing, can you help?
If you've changed the DNS on your domain name but your website isn't showing, this could be for a number of different reasons. First please check the below:
i) Make sure that you have entered your custom domain name into your account. You can find out how to do so by reading here.
ii) Make sure its at least 6 hours since you changed your domain name. Whilst the DNS for your domain can sometimes only take an hour to change, it can sometimes take up to 24 or even 48 hours to change over (depending on who you registered your domain name with).
iii) When you go to your domain name in your website browser check to see if you can view our holding page.
If you can see this page and the domain name has been entered into your account (step 1 above) then please contact us.
If you can't see this page then there is likely a problem with the DNS on your domain name.
iv) Check that you have entered the DNS for your domain name in accordance with the instructions here. Check with your domain name provider's support that the DNS for your domain name is configured correctly, you should have two settings:
a) An 'A record' for @.yourdomain.com or *.yourdomain.com pointing to 220.127.116.11
b) A 'CNAME record' for www.yourdomain.com pointing to ecommercedns.uk
