An introduction to the file manager

The file manager area allows you to upload files which can then either be displayed on your product pages or website's text/information pages, or made available to your customers for downloading after a purchase (i.e. for sales of digital products).

When you upload a file using the system, you'll be able to get a URL (website link) of where the file is located.

Using this, you'll then be able to place a link to the file from any page using the editor.

Accepted File Types

You can only upload certain file types to the file manager so that the security of our platform remains secure.

The file types you can upload are restricted to:

• Microsoft Office Files (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Adobe Files (e.g. PDF, PhotoShop, Illustrator)
• Standard Files (RTF, TXT, CSV)
• Multimedia Files (MP3, WMV)

You won't be able to upload any other file types.

Icons

Once you've uploaded a file, as well as being provided with the URL, you'll find a handy tool that will give you the HTML code which you can use to insert an icon onto any page/product description.

You can find out more information about how to use the tool by reading our Linking with an icon help article.
