Setting a global price discount for trade customers

Global discounts are percentage discounts that you set on a trade customer's account.

When the trade customer logs into their account they'll automatically see prices at a discount to the normal product price.

For example, if you enter a discount of 5% for the trade account and a product's price is £100.00, when the trade customer was logged into their account they'll see the price as £95.00 (£100 - £100 x 5%).

You can set a different discount for each trade account.

Setting a global discount

To set a global discount click through to edit the trade account (select 'B2B' from the left menu and then 'view trade accounts' and then click 'edit' for the business).

Scroll down to the section 'trade discount' and enter the percentage discount you want to offer in the '% discount on normal pricing' field.

When you've made your changes click the 'save changes' button at the bottom of the page.

That's it, you don't need to do anything else.

Excluding particular products from discounts

If you don't want a percentage discount to apply to an individual product then you can exclude that product from trade discounts.

To do so, when adding/editing the product, scroll to the 'additional information' box

Place a tick in the 'is this excluded from trade discounts' box.

(Don't forget to save your changes to the product when you've finished editing it).
