Uploading videos

The videos APP allows you to create a video library on your website that your visitors can visit to view videos.

Any video shown on your website has to be hosted on a video hosting service like YouTube or Vimeo and then embedded on your website by entering the embedding code into your account.

Your website's video page is accessible through the URL www.yourdomain.com/videos and will usually look like something like the example below.

Adding videos

Once you've installed the videos APP select 'assets' from the left hand menu and then click 'videos'.

Use the form at the top of the page to add in your video. Enter a name for the video and the embedding code into the boxes and click the 'add this video' button.

Existing videos you've added are shown in the box beneath.

When you've uploaded your video check your video page (at www.yourdomain.com/videos) to check its working correctly.

How to obtain embedding code

If you've uploaded your video to YouTube, instructions on how to get the embedding code can be found here.

If you've uploaded to Vimeo, you can find instructions here.

If you've uploaded to another video hosting service please consult their help guide to obtain the embedding code.
