How to track and monitor your visitors

If you properly track your visitors and monitor (and analyse) their behaviour on your website, you can find out what the weak and strong points of your site are, make modifications accordingly, and increase your sales and conversion rates.

Our system doesn't have an internal visitor tracking module, instead you can use whatever tracking provider you choose and install their tracking code on your website to monitor your visitors.

You don't have to physically place the code snippets onto your website pages, you just have to enter them into the management system, and our platform will do it for you.

There are two types of visitor tracking:

i) Track visitors to all of your website's pages (visitor tracking)
ii) Track when visitors make a purchase on your website (conversion tracking)

You can also install a live chat facility on your website so that you can talk to your customers in real time as they are on your website and answer any questions they may have.


Tracking visitors to your website

There are many companies around that allow you to track visitors and analyse their behaviour on your website. We actually recommend that you use Google Analytics for this (a free tool provided by Google).

To use Google Analytics you'll need to create an account and add your website to it. If you haven't already done so you can find out how to do so here.

Once you've got the tracking code from your third party provider, you'll need to add it to your website. This is done easily through your account.

1. Click 'settings' from the left hand menu then click 'visitor monitoring' and then 'visitor tracking'.

2. Paste your tracking code into the 'visitor tracking code' box.

3. Click the 'save changes' button at the bottom of the page.

4. That's it. Your tracking code will now be installed and you should be able to see visitor statistics in your third party provider account, within 24 hours.
